Review content:
When my daughter got really sick late one Friday afternoon and we decided it could not wait until Monday, but it was not quite bad enough for the emergency room, we were fortunate enough to try Bee Caves Medical Clinic. They are open 7 days a week, excluding major holidays during the hours between 8 am and 8 pm. No appointment is necessary and they take patients from 6 months old to grandparents. When we arrived without an appointment on a Saturday, we were seen pretty much right away. The waiting room is plush with leather furniture, a large tropical aquarium, a table of toys and three or four video game consoles that might appeal to the teenage set. While waiting to see the doctor/ and during some procedures there is a cable television with Nickelodeon, PBS, Disney etc in the examination room. Everyone we met was quite kind and professional and the visit didn't take very long at all. My daughter had a blood stick, a throat swab and an examination. They take most insurance, or there is the option of paying in cash, for a 10% discount. We paid in cash. At the time I had little idea of a reasonable price, so thought the $135 in cash for the visit and procedures to be a little steep. However when my son had the exact same symptoms two weeks later on a weekday and our regular doctor was out of town, we went to the downtown practice our doctor suggested on her phone message. My son had exact same procedures; blood stick and throat swab and examination, and when we checked out of there the cost was $245. If my husband or I, or any of my children get sick after hours or on the weekend, we will definitely be going to Bee Caves Medical again.
