Review content:
Emerald CIty is one of Philadelphia's main venues for dance and hip-hop. It is an average sized venue (two separate rooms with two DJ booths) so it's not relatively big. The area around the venue isn't that bad and has actually gotten better. Inside, the sound system is ok, but it will still leave your ears ringing the next day. Their drink prices are reasonable and not too over the top. The high rating is mainly because of the management's willingness to bring in big name talent from all over the place, such as NYC, DC and even Europe. Overall, Emerald City is a pretty good party venue.
