Heather is amazing! I have only trusted 3 people with my locks and Heather is one of them! Every time I get a cut I feel like a new person. She gives me exactly what I want but also offers suggestions. She is the only person that knows how to style my long curly hair. I don't live in Long Island but when I visit I make sure to stop in for a fresh do. more

Charging $100 for a wash and blow, I feel like meat at the board because on the website is $40 and when I called they told me $65 but later on the "super curly hair" receptionist come to tell me $100 because the stylist curl it stage by stage. BTY is only curl at the bottom....... the finishing look is not good on my daughter, not worth going back. more

I was there at nubest and purchased a couples massage this weekend. The employees were nothing but lovely. Very professional and courteous. The place is absolutely beautiful. I can't wait until my husband and I get to experience it. more

Simply the best, period. Michael Mazzei has been cutting my hair since I was 17, and I won't let anyone else near my hair. I now have a 17 year old daughter, and she swears by Karina for hair and Rahima for brows. Lavish salon but with unpretentious vibe and good service. Worth every penny. more

Go see Jamie! He will hook you up. He will make you look and feel like a rock star and you will literally bounce out of the salon. He genuinely cares about your look and strives to match your personality with the right hairstyle. He's sophisticated but with edge which i love. The salon is sleek and very chill for a Long Island joint. They really try to meet your every need. Five star all the way. more

Came to nuBest on a recommendation. I used to go to a salon in NYC and paid 150.00 for a cut. Came to nuBest and loved Jamie and the price was perfect! affordable salon. I even made an appt for a massage! more

For three hundred dollars I got an awful head of highlights by a very rude and cold colorist. Then I got a cut that looked like crap. I have to go to another salon and get corrective color done and just hope my hair grows fast so I can get a GOOD cut someplace else. They think they are all that and a bag of chips but they are not. They are living off a reputation from years ago that they cannot fulfill today. GO SOMEPLACE ELSE. DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE! more

Good: Prices continue to go up and service as well as "courtesy" goes down. This used to be the best salon on Long Island BUT.... Bad: Some hair cutters have celebrity-esque attitudes while there is no need.. Improvements: Re-hab personal and professional! One female haircutter I had smelled like a gin mill at 10am.. Other: What happened to Nubest circa '84-94? Where is owner Michael Mazza's influence gone?. more

I have going for 2 years to the spa and they recently raised their price for facial peels by 10 dollars. In this economic climate.....this was the wrong thing to do. I no longer can pay for this service and they have just reduced their client base by one. Leave the prices alone...Its the worst time since the great depression....how can you even think of raising prices.Everyone is suffering now....even Manhasset residents let alone the rest of your clients. Rethink......the fee schedule and you may increase or keep your regular clientale. more

I had a terrible experience there. The staff acted cold and snobby and treated me like herded cattle. The attitude there is sooo unacceptable for the prices they charge. They did an adequate job on my cut and color, but will never go back again. more
