We got to the dealership after seeing the add for a 2007 kia rio for $7900. After much negotiating on the deal- we relented. We agreed to $1000 down, 15% interest and payments of $300. We took the car home after signing the papers on Thursday. I came back with my mother in law to put down the $1000 on Friday. We got a call on Monday to come back in for paperwork. We had to come on Tuesday because of prior engagements. They told us that they hadn't looked at the paperwork properly because it was late and that we ACTUALLY got approved for only part of the car's value. They asked us to either raise our payments or put more money down. We handed over the keys and said no thank you. I don't understand how it took them 4 days to realize their mistake and why they wanted to change the deal after signing papers?
I later did some research and found that they have done this to dozens of people in the area. We will not be going there or advising anyone to return.
