Having been a regular customers, we were disappointed in the recent visit on Valentines day. First, the hostess couldn't find our name on the reservation list, even though it was plainly visible, Second, after finding our confirmed reservation and were seated(at a table reserved for someone else), we discovered the COLD temperature in the restaurant. Third, drinks from the bar were reduced in size (almost 1/2 normal). The food service and quality of the food was, as usual, very good, as was the service of the person assigned to our table. Subtle changes in service over the past months provides a hint a deteriorating business. We hope the restaurant survives the recent loss of it's well liked owner, and the competition of new businesses in the growing community. Café Avanti is an asset to the community.
