My family and I have been patrons of the Original Taqueria on 99/196th St. SW for 9 years! The food is consistenly incredible, however a particular employee is probably the worst I have encountered. The original manager, Esteban whom is mostly at the new location near Lynnwood Center has literally watched my three kids grow up! Although he is there every now and again, it appears the running of Taqueria has been given to the hands of a woman that appears very nice on the outside but you just know deep down is nasty to the bone. Her fake smile fades into a scowl as soon as you show her your 2 for 1 coupon that prints regularly behind an Albertsons receipt. We are a family of five so this coupon that gets us just one free meal is really a nice treat. We have spent A LOT of money there and always leave a generous tip! This has been an ongoing problem with her and I can no longer take her nastiness! I have caught her looking at me with daggers and when she notices she has been seen she quickly tries to put on a smile. She then begins to speak Spanish to her other staff members behind my back. You don't need to understand a foreign language to know you are being talked about. I don't blame the others as they are just manipulated by her. Esteban's wife is wonderful when she is there as well as the other lovely people including the cooks. When I pulled in last night I first looked inside before I parked to see if she was there. I saw Alma, a very sweet young girl that is fairly new. It wasn't until I walked in that I saw her. I told myself if I felt the slightest hostility we would never go back. Well, last night was the most wicked she has ever been. Another patron that was there witnessed her behavior and agreed 100% that something about her just doesn't sit well. We just live minutes from this location but would rather drive further to Lynnwood Center and not have to ever see her again!
