I moved away from Syracuse almost 30 years ago, and I still try to get to the market at least once a year. When I was a kid growing up in the valley section of Syracuse we used to go to the market many Thursday nights. We got our first puppy from the market. My mom used to buy handmade Barbie clothes from someone at the market, which were much more exciting to a kid than the vegetables!
These days they have fresh donuts which are outstanding. And of course all the fresh produce, flowering plants, eggs, cheeses, honey, maple syrup, spices, breads, etc etc etc.
The sights, smells, sounds, colors, variety of produce, variety of people, I truly feel like I am home when I go to the market.
