Hubby thought on Valentines Day that he would go on Priceline to bid on a four star hotel for us. We got for $50 the Doubletree Hotel in Portland. We get there and they want to charge us $18 just to park in there parking garage to use there hotel? Well we already paid for the hotel, so we parked in on a public streets, a few blocks away and walked. When we got to our room, it was nice, but it was definitely of business nature. They told us there was a pool, but in February it was closed as it is on the roof. The restaurant and bar scene was nothing of romantic nature, pure business. Then at 6 am in the morning they put a paper under our door, which woke us up since it sounded like someone was entering. And then they wanted to charge us for the paper. I returned the paper at the desk and we checked out early.
