The Cakes May be Good - But the Service Isn't! 9/7/2007

Rosalie's Cake Shop could use a "Customer Service Attitude Adjustment". Needing a cake for an office party on Tuesday, I called just now to order a cake, hoping to pick it up Monday afternoon. The person answered brusquely: "Rosalie's Cake Shop!"...silence. I explained my reason for calling. The silence on the other end was broken with (crisply) "SHE is not open on Mondays". More silence. After asking her name (Stephanie) (again - sharply stated), I thanked her and she hung up. ???? What started out to be a pleasant task ended in my being irritated by the rude treatment. Apparently this lady doesn't feel she needs to worry about customer service, rapport, and / or customer satisfaction! more
