I have been getting massages here before places like LA Magazine and citysearch started giving them awards. While the place has changed a little since they became "famous" it is still pretty much the same as it was in 1988 when it opened. The interior is renovated and is clean and nice but not big. If you go on a quiet time and day like weekday morning you can almost have the place to yourself and it's really nice. Comfy robes, thick towels, slippers, apples, flavored water, good steam room, etc, etc...
The staff is very warm and friendly and helpful. The massages are just great. You can tell them what style you want when you make your appointment or you can take the luck of the draw. I have done both and had totally different but very good massages at diffferent times.
The location in a three story mini mall is odd but convenient. don't let it scare you- the inside is much, much nicer.
