Moore's Tavern & Restaurant

History Lesson 7/12/2007

Moore's Tavern is a historically important restaurant apparently dating back to the Revolutionary War. It has some fantastic qualities that make it worth your time. It features a nice, grand atmosphere, fleshed out with wood trim, and also is a host to some delicious food. On the other hand though, the menu is, in my opinion, Certainly if you are a fan of steaks, you are in business. The great contradiction of the restaurant is the wait staff. The waiters are very kind, courteous, and respectful. Unfortunately the service is incredibly slow. Not only did the entrée take a long time to come out, but the soups and salads too! I felt it was a 20 minute wait just for those! However, in the restaurants defense, even with the very slow service, the atmosphere makes the wait much more pleasurable. If you want a nice, long evening out with your family, I would certainly recommend this place. Even with all the negatives, my overall evening out at Moore's was certainly a positive. more
