I write this email to express my sincere disappointment in what I experienced at Adventure Island on Memorial Day. I had the opportunity to visit the park with my husband, my daughter and her friend (both 13 year old girls) on Memorial Day weekend. With much excitement, this was our first visit to the park. Instead we were surprised by how expensive it was to enter a family of four at regular price to only find us in a congested and over-filled park of unruly, inconsiderate, gang-banger wannabees. I felt disgusted at the fact that most of these school age kids (and not so school age young adults) were allowed to enter the pools, slides, and many other water events with full clothing to include sneakers and socks. We spent most of the day watching in disbelief how many of these kids were in the park without appropriate dress, to imagine the germ filled and unhealthy water pools that so many people shared. To our surprise, we couldn’t blame them fully as we found that in order to rent a locker you had to have 8 whole dollars. It was no wonder why most of them were swimming in full clothing. They apparently didn’t have the eight dollars to rent a locker or there were more kids in the park than there were lockers. Fortunately my husband and I decided not to enter the water rides and wait on my daughter and her friends to tire out before we could leave. I was actually relieved by 7pm when we made it out the doors and eventually leave the park. I am now saddened to be out of $158.00 dollars and not have anything nice to say about our Memorial day weekend at Adventure Island.
