I've read several reviews here and elsewhere that all agree, the service at Alamo leaves a little to be desired. Once you get one of the old men to help you they are real pushy. They want you to just buy something (obviously because they work on commission). We didn't think much of it and bought a pair of shoes. After wearing them indoors a little, I found that I just couldn't take the arch. I tried to return the shoes and was told I couldn't have my money back, just credit. They said they "probably" couldn't sell those shoes because they had been worn. I know that is a complete lie because there was absolutely no wear on them. Anyway, they teamed me back up with the original salesman who was now a complete jerk. He didn't care what I did at this point. Why would he? He had my money. When I stated that I thought that was ridiculous he gave me some lame parallel and then said "we do about 15 million a year so we must be doing something right". I couldn't believe it. THIS is their customer service??? Yeah, i bet you do 15mil because you certainly don't let anyone get their money back. I can live with in store credit. I cannot live with the cranky old men that work there. Unfortunately I'll have to one more time when they finally have something decent in my size.
