For the past seven years, I've been going to Michael for my haircut, and I'm so thrilled he has now opened his own salon, Michael Avery & Co. While being conveniently located is a plus, Michael knows that no matter where he is, I'd travel to find him. His studio in the SouthWedge is giving me a chance to get acquainted with such a vibrant, funky and fun place to be!
As for the hair situation, Michael has always been a trusted advisor. I consider myself a low-maintenance hairdo kind of gal, and Michael has always found a way to give me cuts that are super stylish but so easy to maintain. He helps me take risks, but gives me his honest opinion if I'm about to make a move I might regret. The best part about it all, and one of the main reasons I stay with Michael (besides his charming personality, humor and warmth, of course) is that there's no pressure - so selling me on things I don't want to do or suggesting more when I want less, or less when I want more. Short hair, long hair, straight or curly, I'll always keep coming back.
