I have had 6-7 visits with Dr. Te at the Issaquah clinic for a different issue than the previous reviewer, but have had a similar experience.
I saw Dr. Te regarding issues relating to abnormal pap smears. Every time I have gone to my appointments with her at the Issaquah clinic I have had to wait 20-40 min. just to get into the exam room. One time, when I was supposed to have a procedure to take out a small piece of my cervix for lab testing, they left me in the exam room on the table half-naked for 30 min. I can't tell you what a terrible, helpless feeling that is.
Then, when her and her nurse Donna finally entered the room, they proceeded to have a long conversation about what Dr. Te didn't like about the equipment being used in the room. This was the last thing I needed after having to wait 30 min. on the table and already being nervous about the procedure itself.
The lab testing showed that I had a mild dysplasia, categorized as CIN1, and Dr. Te recommended a LEEP procedure, where they burn off the abnormal cells on the cervix. After receiving her recommendation, it took them 2 weeks to get back to me to set up an appointment for the procedure, even with me calling about it 3 times during that 2 weeks. When they finally called to schedule the procedure, the only option was more than a month out. Unfortunately, they picked a day when I would be on my period, and they cannot do the procedure if that is the case. They next option the gave me was another full month after the 1st suggested appointment date.
5 days ago I had the LEEP procedure, performed by Dr. Te. I just wanted to get it done and over with, as my husband and I are trying to plan for a family and knowing I would have to have this procedure has put our plans on hold. Once again, they were 30 min. late to get me into the exam room. The procedure itself was quick and painless, and I have had no bad side effects. Dr. Te wanted me to schedule a follow-up appt. so she could make sure it was healing properly. Her only availability is more than a month out. However, I have already decided that I will never go back to her or the Issaquah clinic again and am seeking to change doctors ASAP.
As the previous reviewer suggests, Dr. Te is nice enough, but doesn't do a good job of explaining details or options. I definitely would not recommend her.
