I visited the Los Panchos location in Pacific Beach on 1775 Garnet Ave.. When I walked in, I was expecting an order at the counter and take your seat style location, but was plesantly surprised to see a "Come in and Sit Down" sign. I sat down at a table near the door and waited. A hispanic family was eating at the tabe in front of me and got up to leave. A waitress started clearing their table and started putting their dirty dishes on my table! She didn't even look at me, it was like I wasn't there. Finally, another waitress came over and said something to her in spanish like "No, est a Muchacha", meaning I guess "Hey what the hell are you doing, this girl is eating here!" She apologized and said "Oh, I thought you were just waiting". Yeah, thanks for assuming. I ordered the taco and enchilada meal and was served chips and salsa, hot carrots and grilled onions while I was waiting. I wasn't sure what to do with the carrots and onions and the salsa was disgusting. As I was munching on my chips, a disgusting bum who I saw earlier living in the corner of the parking lot came to the front door and STARED at me through the glass. He then proceeded to circle the building several times, continuing to stare at me. I felt very uncomfortable. I kept looking outside at my car to see if the bum was near it. The restaurant looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in a week. Finally, my food arrived and the waitress said nothing to me as she dropped it off. There was no melted cheese on my rice as I had requested, so she brought me a small cup of grated cheese. I was not impressed with the taco, and the enchilada tasted as though there had been cinnamon sprinkled on it. Weird, I know. When I went to finish and pay, the two waitresses behind the counter were engaged in conversation and did not acknowledged me. Finally, after about 30 seconds of standing there, she slowly turned toward me and smiled "I'd just like to pay", I said. I paid, and left, and will never go back. Santana's down the street is a much better, nicer, cleaner Mexican place.
