I'm writing this review because I couldn't find ANY reviews on Dorado International Travel on the net before I went. Overall I was happy with the tour, good group of people(some partiers, some not), itinerary was jam packed, just a few comments you should be aware of.
This was a 21 day tour of the highlights of Europe, a lot of time being spent in France and Italy, which I stupidly didn't figure out until I got there.
EXCURSIONS: are expensive but usually worthwhile unless you have a guidebook and have done your research ahead of time. A lot of time the tour is structured so if you don't go on the excursion you end up STUCK somewhere, hotel/city etc.
ACCOMMODATION: Average, some hotels really SMALL but none were dirty. Most were WAY OUT OF TOWN. Meaning if you choose not to do the night excursion you have to take a cab which is usually too expensive or if you are lucky the public transport will be nearby (or if in Rome you know - maybe they'll be having a strike again!)
FOOD: Some of the included dinners are good, others YUCK. Best quality food is on the optional dinners. Breakfast is the same every day - get used to it. Rolls, cheese, ham. More rolls, cheese, ham. Rolls, ROLLS, ROLLS!!!
BUS: You'll be spending probably between 5-8 hours a day on the bus. This isn't really written in the brochure. You do get to all the sites but the brochure is written in such a way you think you'll be seeing something exciting everyday, when sometimes you just pass ordinary scenery.
ITINERARY: Is generally very good. You see a LOT and the tour I went on was very well organized, great friendly tour guide, we all had a blast.
OVERALL: Expensive but saw a great deal. Feel like a I got my money's worth (nearly). We hit all the spots in the brochure, no major hang ups, tour guide very organized. Couldn't complain.
