Do you know how to detect when a gym is headed down? Look up and down the streets and see if you can find the temporary signs begging for new customers. Better to disrupt the natural landscape, create road trash and diminish locals property values than actually offer a good product that lures in customers.
Once you go inside you see a nice interior but the staff will not work toward your needs as sorry the corporate office decided to change this or will not allow that will aways be their answer. Also, the crowds are increasing and the parking is decreasing. Be ready to walk plenty and wait long times to get on machines.
Support other local gyms that offer a better product and are more friendly not just to you but also to the community.
