I am thoroughly dismayed and disgusted by the decision of this station to pre-empt the Sun Bowl with the private Ford family prayer ceremony. The Ford family had asked for this prayer ceremony to be a private function and that cameras not record this event. There will be appropriate times in the next few days to publicly honor President Ford.
Moreover, the Mizzou Tigers were playing in the Sun Bowl this year. This is a disservice to the fans and alumni when they were pre-empted. Other local channels, such as KY3 and KSFX, did not pre-empt their regularly scheduled soap opera and talk show programs for the ceremony. They followed the requests of the Ford family.
