Damage Product Returns are a Nightmare 12/15/2006

I order a magnetic table (over $200) for my sons this Christmas. The experience was fine until I open the box to find that the table was broken. So with two/three weeks before Christmas, I figured I could get a replacement no problem. I tried to call in reference to the order, but the phones are on a continual message that basically says the fastest way to get a hold of them is through email. There was no way I was going to be able to talk to anyone. I sent three emails in reference to the damage (one to the founder of the company) and still was not contacted. The return policy on the web site is that you pay for returns, but I thought since the product came damaged and weighs 18 lbs that they would clearly understand that they would need to pay for the return shipping. I don't feel good about sending back a product that I paid so much for with out getting a guarantee that I will get a replacement. So where am I now - I ship it back into the unknown. Order the product from somewhere else in order to get it for Christmas. more
