MMU is a terrible store. Not from the standpoint of what they carry, but from a personal point of view. I have only been there ONCE when the staff was anything close to polite, nice, or helpful. This was back in 2001!! I no longer shop at this store and do not plan to ever do so again. I have been treated rudely on several visits. I have met other scrappers who had the very same experience.
(By the way.......I DO tend to give local businesses SEVERAL tries. I believe in local, small businesses and do not write them off unless they are consistently bad. I do not base my opinions on just one visit. Heck, everyone has a bad day now and again.)
This place has a nice scrapping room, a die cut machine and many dies, and a very nice selection of items. Their inventory is up to date w/current trends in scrapping. However, when you shop locally you expect stellar and polite customer service.......especially when the competition in the scrapping world is stiff. They are up against national chains and internet resources. What can a local business offer that is *special*? Customer service, that's what! I can get better prices, coupons AND nicer service either online, or even at Michaels or JoAnns. Sad to say!
