Beware! Misleading Representation! 10/18/2013

This space does not allow me to tell my whole story, so I will have to give you the short version. I contacted this company in an attempt to file a Diminished Value claim for an accident I was in. I contacted Diminished Value of Georgia for information concerning their services. I was unclear of the services being provided, so I asked via email "What exactly am I paying for?" As I understood it, I was paying for someone to create and file a claim for me to get me my money. I asked what happens if the insurance company says no, and I was laughed at and told by a woman named Lindsey that they can't say no. I was assured I would receive a monetary award. So I paid them $125 and got ready to collect! Instead, I was sent an "appraisal report" and a Generic Fill-in-the-blank letter with instructions to mail. So I did. And guess what? The insurance company said no. Repeatedly. They cited a court case that dismissed the notion of Diminished Value Claims in their last rejection letter. What? Diminished Value isn't even a legal thing? Tony from DVGA suggested I get a lawyer and go to court. WHAT? Who said anything about a lawyer or court? I asked for my money back, what did I pay for? I repeatedly asked for a refund. I was finally told that I could receive a refund if I signed a form stating that I was provided with quality service (which I wasn't, why would I need a refund if I had quality service?) and that I may not speak about my experience with GDVA in any way shape or form. I told Tony I would not sign away my first amendment right to free speech, he could keep my $125. I went on to share my experience. That's when he started texting me. 14 texts until i blocked him. He told me he was going to have to tell children there was no Santa because of me. After I told him i was on my way to the police he refunded my money. Tony insisted that the only thing they offered to sell me was a value appraisal )Why on earth would i pay some one over $100 to do that for me, when I can buy a carfax for $35 and do it myself more
