Poor skills for hostess and Manager 11/25/2006

This is third time I took my family to this location and each time it got worse. This time Hostess went to seat me twice and there was no table ready so I got us about three times and she had nothing for us. Then someone was seated ahead of me in a booth. I saw one opened and I took it and I told the Hostess. She then ignored me when I asked if she could clean the table. I had to get the rag myself and clean the table too. And the Hostess saw me and ignored me. Then it took over 10 minutes for someone to wait on us after already waiting 20 minutes for a table/booth. Mind you I have a active toddler who is hungry. Then I asked for a Manager and she came over and I told her what happened and she said that she would take good care of us due to the bad situation. Well after being there for an hour and slow service. We got the check expecting it to be worth our patronage and she ONLY gave us one free desert!!! I then saw the Manager and told her I was very unhappy with her solution and she said she would give me coupons. Hello--you think I am going to come back after the poor service, ignorant behavior, and long wait when the place was no even busy. I should have been treated a lot better since I keep giving this Applebee's a chance. No more. You need to train or select your workers a little better. Very unsatisfied:( more
