My wife and I live in Europe. When we visit her family in Concord, NC we always try and make a visit to Salisbury for 1) Hap's hot dogs and 2) The Literary Book Post (in approximately that order). The store has friendly cats, as all worthwhile bookstores should have, and a knowledgeable staff who always make great suggestions. If all you read are the NY Times top 10 look alike, read alike novels, Barnes and Noble is OK. But, if you want to find special things, bookstores like LBP are wonderful finds. Salisbury, which is a lovely town by the way, should count itself very luck to have such an establishment.
