Email to Owner:I showed up prior to 7:00 pm on Friday, October 20th, ready to greet my guests already en route from several different suburbs of Virginia and Montgomery County to find that the table that I had reserved through you (and that we exchanged emails about over the last month) had not been saved. I was further disappointed that there was no one with any authoritative power or managerial function to help. I found myself wandering the streets of SE Capitol Hill on a Friday night looking for a restaurant that could help salvage my embarrassment and the inconvenience of my guests. Also interesting to note is that the server with whom I spoke (who was as helpful as anyone put in that position could be) said that things like this have happened before.
I might mention that the restaurant that was able to attend to us on such short notice received a nice tip on top of the bill that came to well over $400. Is there anything you might want to do to redeem my impression of your establishment?
Response only this: I apologize for your disappointment. Tapatinis filled to the max within 45 minutes after opening and they accidentally gave away a reserved table.
