We have a membership and use it quite frequently. My youngest son loves the dinosaur exhibits and gift shop the most (again because of the dinosaurs). If you walk through the museum the right way you can go in order of history which is really nice. My kids were able to see how life developed after the dinosaurs, through the Ice Age, and into present day history.
As a homeschooling family it's especially nice because each trip you can almost bet on finding something that relates to what you are studying. Well worth spending a day exploring.
