Being from New Jersey, I found the Oak Alley Plantation to be very interesting. It had a nice restaurant (loved the beignets!) that did not charge a ton for food, a lovely restored plantation house, and overall beautiful scenery. I especially enjoyed taking photos in front of the plantation house, in the Oak Alley, a path leading to the front of the home that has extremely old oak trees. Everything about this plantation was picturesque.
Tours of the furnished plantation house were available. They were fun, educational, and worth the time.
Admission is reasonable.
