I had Cox for a brief period of time. I had so much trouble with the service. At first, my bill kept going up and up and I had bare bones telephone service. I lived alone, so I wasn't using long distance and barely made any phone calls, I also did not have internet (I didn't own a computer).
Second, there were two occasions where they misplaced my payment and shut my phone off. They credited my payment to a non-existent cable account and it took approx. 2-3 wks to correct the problem and was costly to me (I had to get my canceled check from the bank and get a photocopy of it).
After the second misplaced payment, I shut the service off and switched to Qwest.
