After a series of 4 visits and receiving explanations of benefits from my healthcare insurance, I assumed that the billing was going along smoothly. I then received a bill for $1200, called and left 3 messages (no one returned my call), and called a 4th time to reach a gentleman who was anything but. He was quite rude and would not answer my questions or even communicate with me. He simply remained as quiet as he possibly could and refused to discuss the matter with me. After calling my insurance company, I called Skin Wellness *again* only to be informed that they "supposedly" havent received any of the payments. Now their fax machine isnt working.
It's very disappointing because who do you report this to? I really liked Amy Brownlee, the physician's assistant who treated me, but I dont think I could recommend this practice to anyone as a result of their billing practices.
