The Paperback Exchange is a great and cheaper alternative to Borders or Barnes and Noble. They sell used books at much cheaper prices - and they also have current books.
Although I haven't sold them myself, I know they also takes used books and give you credit for the store - which is great if you read a lot and find no use in holding on to the books you've already read.
