I have been to Assumption's Friday Lunches many times over the past several years and they are always fabulous! They start serving at 11:00 and go till 2:00. For the best variety, don't go too late! They have a menu on their website (http://assumptiongoc.org/FridayLuncheons.dsp) so you know ahead of time what they will be serving. It always has a very nice variety including Dolmathes, Moussaka, Pastitsio, Spanokopita, Gyro's, salad, soups, and of course a ton of greek pastries. There are a lot of businesses in that area, so it does get fairly crowded. They also provide carry-out, which I do often for a nice, fast dinner! It is fairly inexpensive for generous portion sizes. Assumption also has a 3-day Greek Fest in the spring which is always crowded but has the best and biggest variety of Greek Food in St. Louis...we just went to St. Nicholas' Greek Fest last weekend and there was no comparison. Assumption is the best, in my opinion. It is located behind the Des Peres Cine' and has plenty of parking. During the Greek Fest, they allow you to tour the church and see the murals...it is absolutely beautiful!!
