We have found the service at Salty's to be lackluster at best and insulting at worst. Sure, the view is great, but you can pack a picnic to the beach and enjoy the view. When we went to Salty's for a recent birthday reservation, the hostess was curt and unwelcoming, there was no table reserved for us, and our waiter seemed like we were bothering him. As far as Salty's service was concerned, it could not have felt less like a special occasion. The sad part was that I had made the reservation based on a promotional email from Salty's themselves offering a special birthday celebration with balloons, cake, etc., none of which were forthcoming. Had they not specifically solicited our business for the occasion, such mediocre service would not have been so offensive. Save your money for someplace like Chez Shea.
