I'm a Mexican food addict, and I think Ajo Al's has the best salsa in the Valley. Whenever I go there, I know I am going to be stuffing myself with chips and salsa, so I make sure to order from the a la carte menu. They do have some wonderful combo meals, too.
For meat lovers, their Mexican pizza is good (according to my friends who have tried it) and could easily feed 3 - 4 people. They really pile on the chicken! Since I'm vegetarian, I stay away from that, but there are a lot of veggie choices on the menu.
For those that like spicy food, you can ask them to add more spice to your dish or use the spicier sauce. They are always willing to accommodate special requests.
There are 3 Ajo Al's locations that I know of - two in Scottsdale (I've been to both) and one in Phoenix on 16th Street.
