Here's more proof that real good barbecue is alive and well in Seattle.
Just had lunch there this afternoon; The Beef Brisket Whole Hog Lunch (which includes the main course, two sides and a drink for $7.95.
While that's not cheap eats, I felt like I got my money's worth. The brisket was perfectly cooked. Piled thick between the buns, succulent, tasty and trimmed of gristle and fat.
Their Seattle Succotash (corn, edamame, black beans, red pepper and red onion with a hint of cilantro) is crisp, fresh and a perfect counterpoint to the barbecue.
And their Veggie BBQ baked beans make another nice counterpoint to the meatier fare.
Seems to me like restaurant barbecue can be a hit or miss proposition. In the case of the Rowdy Cowgirl, I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu.
