The Bier Haus went in where Armadillo's used to be. I went here with my hubby and two others because he has some German blood and a weak spot for the German beers and food. Since the new owners had taken over, they had barely made any effort to change the look of this place from the Mexican joint it used to be into any sort of German place. I hear that the waitresses now dress up, but they didn't when we were here a few months ago.
The food here was just overall not very good. The spaetzel was ok, nothing special. The cucumber salad was decent. The strudel was ok but nothing memorable. The schnitzel was not very tender and had a creamy mushroom sauce. The sauce was creamy but it didn't have a whole lot of flavor. The vegetables tasted canned. Perhaps we ordered the wrong things or came on the wrong night, but I won't go back. The food was way too underwhelming.
