We have dial up access even though we hate it. It is the only thing other than Satellite in our area.
Although I am happy with my dial up service through Verizon, I am upset that they have not upgraded in my area so that DSL is available. I do not live out in the boonies and people that live further away than I do actually have cable or DSL capability.
I do get disconnected a few times a day which would not happen with DSL. I have to wait ages for web pages to load and since I use the internet to make myself my spending money throughout the year, slow web pages mean less I can do on the internet.
Verizon does have a nice package though. They even have given me some web space that I can play around with to learn how to create a great looking web page all on my own.
I do have to say that the only reason I am still on dial up is that there is no other service available in my area that does not cost a fortune to access.
