I found a new favorite store the other day. I have been driving by this building for some time now, and always wanted to go in, but never found the time. This certain day, we were on our way to Menards to pick up some material for the kitchen we are remodeling. We decided to make a stop at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore and am I ever glad we did. They had everything we were looking for and more. We purchased a 9' sliding glass door for $100. What a deal!!! We also purchased some cabinets for the bathroom, and a 24000 BTU air conditioner. We spent a fraction of the money we would have spent at a home store.
Needless to say we were very pleased with our bargains. Then the trouble started. The air conditioner didn't work. We paid $150 for this and called the store. Their policy is you need a receipt and they will give you an instore credit only. UGH!!! We didn't need any more material, and wouldn't be. And we would need a lot of material for that much money.
We brought the air conditioner back the following day and what happened?? They refunded our money in cash. No receipt needed. No questions asked. I was shocked. I was so happy that I will recommend this place to anyone who can use building materials or things for remodeling.
What do they carry? We found cabinets, tile, doors, windows, rough sawn lumber, appliances, light fixtures, switches, and the list goes on and on. Here is a http://www.habitatmuskegon.org/restore/index.php to our local store. You can search and find one near you as well. It is well worth a visit. The prices are wonderful. It is the perfect place for all you "do it yourselfers".
