Albertson's has the best sales called "3 day sales". I always find something I "must" have. Of course, these are lost leaders but I make sure I take advantage of these terrific sales.
I do feel they could improve on the layout of the meat counters. It's confusing because the meats are spread out among three distinct areas, one of which is the "Seafood and Butcher Block" section. Let's say I want hamburger....it is found at the Butcher Block but also in another area where it's packaged but not the identical item will be at both places.
I like the selection, the service and the honesty of this store. Once I bought 2 beef roasts at a "buy one, get one free" sale. When the cashier rang it up, the computer charged me for both. The cashier called over the manager who said it was the store's fault so I would be charge nothing for both roasts!
Albertson's is the only supermarket in this area that requires a special store card to be scanned to obtain the sales. While some may complain, I don't find it a hindrance. If you forget your card, just give them your phone number which the cashier punches in and you'll get the low price.
They offer carry out service as well which is nice for the many older folk in this community.
