I couldn't miss the full page newspaper ad announcing the newly remodeled Tom's supermarket on M22 and M72. Their low prices were too attractive to turn down a visit to this store across town from me. I found it to be larger, brighter, and very clean. In fact, it wasn't much different than the sister stores around town. One thing Tom's stores do offer is "grocery pick-up" at the door. In fact, at this store, one is required to leave the shopping cart inside, thus forcing a drive up to the door for the purchased groceries. This actually takes longer than just walking the cart to your car to unload groceries. In fact I had to wait for 2 cars ahead of me getting their groceries put in their car by store clerks. Perhaps they feel it's more cost effective to employ the drive up method. I much prefer to do my own thing.
