This diner was voted best in Manhattan by the Daily News, and it's around the corner from my house - so I had to try it. Skylight is pretty big for an NYC restaurant, and had the traditional counter, mirrored walls diner look. They have great fries and a really filling vegetarian chili. I tried a chicken/portobello wrap, and the chicken was not dry but juicy. Rare for some places! Prices were reasonable, as some others charge $20 for a sandwich! The service is average, waitress has that NY attitude, bare bones kind of stuff. I noticed a lot of people having dinner, like half a chicken and mashed potatoes kind of dinner. I think I need to go back and sample more of the food, but I liked it this time! Also, the desserts looked gigantic, like enough for 3 people.
