I went to this bar, Pianos, with some friends from out of town last weekend. It's on the lower east side of Manhattan, so I knew it would be crowded, loud, etc. The music was fun. It was crowded and loud, but we found a table. The decorations are fun and the crowd was pretty cute. But it was obnoxious. Why? because of the bouncer outside. My license is 100% authentic (Hi, I'm well above 21. Getting carded is not flattery) and there is NOTHING to generate any kind of suspicion about it. Yet, he stared at it, them me, then it, then me for a solid 2 minutes. I look exactly the same in my picture as I do now. Then he has the nerve to ask me for a credit card as a second form of ID. A credit card is not a form of ID, number one. Number two, he stared at that for so long I actually asked him if I should be worried that he was memorizing my account number. The guy was a jerk, clearly overly concerned with his "power" as a bouncer. Hope you have a better time getting in.
