Aldi's is a discount grocery store that you don't have to be a member to receive the discount. You simply have to be willing to box and bag your own groceries, have the courtesy to return your shopping cart (or you don't get your quarter back), and not have the need for purchasing all brand name items. I especially love this store around the holidays when baking becomes a daily thing. Maybe it's important to some to have a special flour or a certain grade of sugar, but Aldi's cheaper brands work fine for me. Their cheeses are also great for cheese balls. My grandchildren have never once complained about my chocolate chip cookies or any other goodie made with them and said, "But Grammy, these don't taste like Hershey's"! I am most impressed, however, with their produce. It is always fresh and the most inexpensive in town. Oh, I almost forgot the price of their butter - too good to believe! The thing that I like the most are the people that work there. I don't know about any of the stores other than the one that I shop at; but my local one has fantastic employees that go out of their way to be of assistance. ~Donna more
