A great freebie (although a small donation is gratefully accepted) is the Thursday Night Thing at 7pm on the first Thursday night of every month at the Museum of Contemporary Art downtown.
Get your culture on - they bring fresh and innovative art to your attention and it's FREE! People watching is just as fun as checking out the art and they do have a cocktail bar (bring money for that).
