It was a very good experience for our whole family. We sent our daughter, and she received help but we learned that our whole family needed to change. It was something that got us ALL on track and opened our minds to why she was struggling - we were trying to control her and fix her consequences rather than let her choose and deal with the outcome. We learned that she always knew we would rescue her. Our therapist, Kade, taught us how to help her grow without doing everything for her. It was a real eye opener that we thought we were helping her by doing everything for her, when in reality she wanted to know that we thought she could accomplish things on her own.
