I had never had much need for a printing service except for having a few copies made, but when I brought my mother's hand written memoirs home to read I knew they had to be put into a book form. After conferring with my brother and sister I took the handwritten manuscript to Technigraphics in Iowa City. I sat down with a representative to discuss what we would like to do. This included not only the written manuscript in print but also the reprinting of some very old photos.They had never done this sort of thing before but they were really interested in my project. We discussed the style of print, the type of paper and binding style and having a laminated cover. The price was reasonable for the initial printing and additional units could be ordered at a lower cost. To date about 60 memoir books have been printed. Technigraphics not only did an excellent job of printing this book, but asked to keep a copy to show people what could be done.
