Old Chicago 10/6/2006

This chain restaurant has great menu selections from pizza, to salads and sandwiches, to pasta entrees. The buffet is always wonderful. They include two hot pasta dishes in the buffet as well as hot breadsticks and marinara sauce for dipping, hot cinnamon rolls, a variety of pizzas and a well stocked salad bar. It is all you can eat and believe me you will eat a lot. They constantly stock the buffet so you can always find your favorite item. Their pizzas are the thick Chicago style, Yummy! Service at Old Chicago is good. You will find the restaurant clean and seating is usually available with little or no wait. The beer selection is one of the best in the area with numerous little known brands. Old Chicago, located on the Coralville Strip or Highway 6 is easy to get to but not always easy to get out of. Reason for this is that while there is a turning lane for getting into the parking lot, the wait to get out because of traffic is somewhat longer. Don't let this keep you from trying this eating place out. There is plenty of parking space available and outdoor seating for nice weather. You will go back again once you have tried Old Chicago. more
