Andre's Cafe & European Bakery has some of the best pastries and cakes you will find on the Upper East Side - possibly even better than those at Cafe Sabarsky.
I'm talking layers of moist cake, between layers of immensly rich and sinful chocolate, and they even have a mocha cake which I swore I'd only eat half of, but I couldn't put it down.
The cafe is very unassuming, nothing fancy, but wow, if you need a dessert fix, or a coffee, this is your place.
On top of the excellent desserts (how many times have I said that?) they have Hungarian food entrees, like goulash on the menu.
You have got to try this place at least once!
