Since moving away from Asheville I have missed my ramblings through this bookstore immensely. I went to Malaprops for the atmosphere, sat in a nook and read a book off the shelf and often was so taken I'd have to buy it. When I was looking for a specific title the staff was always smart and helpful. Set on the bustling Haywood St. fun for people watching, with great lighting, the cafe has coffee drinks, smoothies and baked goods and is a great place to sit for the afternoon with the book you just bought.
