I live in a little part of the city that is overrun by GU college brats sporting two to three Ralph Lauren polo shirts with popped up collars, mean old ladies that complain about food service regardless of how good (or bad) it was, and thirty something a**holes who constantly hit on my super hot girlfriends.
In this magical little part of the city there are also many bars that my friends and I no longer find "fun" since we don't enjoy coeds starting fights, having to pay $13 for 1 drink, and getting hit on by thirty going on forty somethings hitting on us. (Mind you I may be close to that 30 something demo, but still find it odd when late 30 something wants to get into my pants.)
So, when my super hot friend Miller, asked me to join her at bar in Glover Park near Georgetown, I immediately said NO! After further research, my new friend Amanda said it was a great bar and I should give it a chance. I gave in, why not? Worse come to worse I could go to one of the sketchy strip bars down the block, right?
TOWN HALL, located in Glover Park was an amazing time. The music was a mix of hip hop, top 40, and bar classics. The crowd was basically stereotypically preppy but without the absurd southerness of Smith Point. (Mind you, I do enjoy Smith point every once in a while.)
It's the kind of bar where you could be picked up by a single ex-frat-boy-turned-hill-staffer-type but since there's no dance floor, the sketchy weird-o's that might drop something in your drink are at a minimum. It's the kind of bar where you should go with a bunch of your dude and chick friends to have a night of hot people watching and good conversation. Mind you, it's not cheap...and the bartenders aren't the brightest people in the world. (They lost my friends credit card and charged me more than I drank...so pay cash!!!) But all that aside, it's an all around good time near Georgetown...basically the grown up version of Smith Point. Good times...good times...
(I'm assuming it's a restaurant during the day...to which I have no clue regarding service/food but good place for liquid dessert.)
