I think its a great school. It is a huge step above the community theatre classes taught by unprofessional so -called actors/directors that saturate Iowa City. At least the teachers at School for the Performing Arts have professional experience at reputable theatres, film, tv,etc.They have worked with many directors and actors who are at the top of their field. They have extensive training from top notch universities and training programs in NY & London. Just because one takes a "drama" class in high school or college does not qualify them to teach the craft! What other performing arts school in Iowa, let alone in Iowa City, can say the same?
